3D Printing

Last night I started researching for my final paper. I decided to go with 3D printing. I found lots of disturbing issues with 3D printing. I would write more about them, but the only way I can discuss it is with a therapist and dolls. ;)

  1. I researched the hell out of 3D printing for Dr. Slone's Computer Applications class last semester. It's a very interesting topic. I'm thinking of visiting a library nearby that recently installed a MakerBot to see what all the fuss is about.

  2. I have never had to study it for class, but I have read a lot about it in the past when someone sent me an article on it and libraries (because when my friends see an article about something library related, they immediately send it to me). It was all very interested and immediately captured my attention. I hope that it is an okay topic for this research paper, because that is what I decided to research and write my paper on since it interests me. But yeah, after reading all about it and the recent announcements of more affordable 3D printers, I want one soooo bad. Even though I will probably use it to make dumb stuff, haha. I wish our library had one to try out. I am going to try to find out if any libraries around here have one to try out. But in doing research, some of the most disturbing things were pointed out by some critics and those articles led to other articles that were more disturbing.
